No No No November…

Eeek where is 2019 going … we only have two months left before the end of the year and our plans are already forming for 2020. For our November event we are open on Saturday 23rd November and we felt with the festive season around the corner we would make this one a simpler affair.

We will kick the evening off with our welcome drink and nibbles as per usual and then serve a three course meal. To start it will be a firm favourite of a roasted butternut squash risotto topped with crumbled goats cheese and some toasted cob nuts, a warming and comforting beginning.

Next we will serve a classic “Beef Carbonnade”, this is a beef stew slow cooked with beer and a shed load of onions a dish inspired from Belgium. It has a bitter sweet flavour that is a classic.  We will serve this with a creamy and buttery mashed potato and some green beans (our signature). This again is comforting food so one to help warm the winter cockles!

Finally we felt dessert should also be something of a classic so what is better than a Treacle Sponge Pudding with Custard – a British pudding that has mush history and provenance in our food culture. What better way to finish. We will also be serving up a coffee to complete the meal with some warm butter shortbread and maybe some homemade chocolate truffles.

So if you fancy joining us then please make sure you book your places and please note we request a £5 booking deposit payable via a secure payment link to confirm your places. We have also had to adopt a more rigid cancellation policy in so much you will be liable for full payment if you cancel 14 days prior to the event unless we have been able to fill the spaces. A number of recent no shows and last minute cancellations has forced us to adopt this more draconian policy – Sorry!!!

Balance owing is then payable by cash on the night. Please also advise if you require a vegetarian option and how many required when booking.
