Food was excellent as usual. Particularly taken by the Sansho Peppercorn seasoning. Will need to get some! The evening was completed by some unexpected ‘celebrity’ dinner guests!

Perfect start to the weekend! Wonderful music, great company and amazing food. I had the veggie paella and the flavour was really good and the veg still had ‘bite’ – very happy to have seconds!! A couple of glasses of cider and the strawberries and cream – couldn’t fault it and can’t wait for another one! Especially good that it was in walking distance so the cider could be properly appreciated.

Marc – Half Day Cookery Course – November 2018
Having dined at Hari’s one knows he is an amazing chef. Thus I begged my wife to treat me to a learning session as a birthday treat.
I could not have asked for more from Hari. He asked what I wanted to learn, made suggestions and created a session just for me. He guided patiently, gently correcting my poor knife skills and showed me how to create a set of delicious classically cooked dishes that I would never have attempted on my own.
I’ve now got the confidence to try even more new recipes and ideas in my own kitchen.

My husband gave me a day course with Hari as a birthday gift (not entirely selfless, I’m sure!). The experience was outstanding- Hari took care to understand my skill level and what I wanted to learn, before planning a bespoke day which was perfectly pitched. Hari is a natural teacher, I learnt far more beyond the planned recipes; how to minimise waste, make a good stock, rescue hollandaise, impromptu chocolate tasting…. I would happily do a similar day next year (hint to husband), it was great fun and I left with armfuls of goodies we had prepared. Thank you Hari for a great day.

I used Hari for a very special birthday for my wife . Both Hari the chef, and his assistant Julia were outstanding.
Julia had my grandchildren helping lay the tables and helping with the food set up which they absolutely loved.
I found Hari so unobtrusive and professional and was keen to share his recipe and tips.
The food was amazing and there was certainly plenty of it . I wouldn’t hesitate booking him again a truly fantastic experience.

What a great evening.
We were greeted with some wonderful cooking smells to whet our appetites and the welcome drinks and nibbles went down a treat. The starter and main were over and above our expectations; the flavours were amazing and so very tasty but the piece de resistance was the Anno vodka jelly, strawberry parfait and the oh so wonderful warm fresh shortbread. Thank you Hari for a very enjoyable evening.

6 of us attended the covert on the mountain dinner and it was excellent. The food was imaginative, very well cooked and delicious to eat. The service was friendly and attentive and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, thanks a lot, would definitely attend another.

Another scintillating culinary extravaganza with the “Game On” event at Hari’s secret location on Sat 25 Feb !!This 4-course meal with its game produce theme was perfectly cooked and presented with the added surprise of a tasty welcome drink/nibbles and afterwards coffee/tea with warm homemade shortbread….delicious. The locally sourced game dishes consisting of venison, wood pigeon and guinea fowl all complemented each other as we ate each course. Hari you have excelled yourself and the convivial company of the other guests made it a thoroughly enjoyable “foodie” evening which we hope to repeat again soon. If you haven’t tried one of Hari’s secret location events you should try and open your taste buds to new experiences in homely and friendly surroundings. You won’t be disappointed.

Sally – Half Day Cookery Course – February 2017
Just to say thank you. The half day Cookery Course for my 12 year old was a huge success. To quote “It was a once in a life time experience” . The risotto, focaccia, home made pasta and lemon possett surpassed his and our expectations..!
There was nothing left from all of the dishes. This ranged from 10 – 86 year old dietary preferences. More to the point – I was told that “Sir” was a great teacher because he told me what to do but made sure that I did it myself. Thanks Hari

Cauliflower and white chocolate; very different, and being a chocoholic would have liked two chocolate flakes sticking out of it!
Tagine and Cheesecake bursting with flavour and uniqueness (particularly the slight ‘kick’ to the tagine) Lovely ambience, lovely evening.

We had no idea what to expect and like other’s were a bit apprehensive before hand as we didn’t know what we would be eating, how well it was going to be cooked or really where we were going to be eating it! We needn’t have worried – It all turned out very well and we all enjoyed our meal. The Cauliflower Risotto was a very unusual combination but worked and the tagine was delicious as was the cheesecake. Hari and his waitress were lovely. I’m sure this won’t be my last visit.

We were a little apprehensive as we had no idea what we were going to eat. We met two of our fellow diners outside, and were soon chatting away with the rest of our table over pre-dinner drinks and nibbles. The meal was amazing; flavour combinations we had not tried before but definitely want to try again – cauliflower and white chocolate, green beans and lemon – just wow and that beer bread — I want the recipe please. Can’t wait to do this again and would recommend without hesitation. Thank you Hari, a really enjoyable evening.

After seven years I think it was fantastic that we were able to celebrate this occasion with you….. and as we have come to expect the menu definitely didn’t disappoint with the many variety of flavours we experienced, they were amazing, but the sea bass did stand out the most I think, but I do also have to mention your beer bread and also your banana jam Thank you again for yet another lovely evening.

This was an excellent meal with a very comfortable ambience. Menu choice from two for each course and everyone cleaned their plates to assist the washing up !! Hari and team made us all very welcome and the dining room contained a very practical large square table to sit the 15 of us. Thoroughly recommend this secret dining experience as you certainly won’t be disappointed !!

What a wonderful afternoon, great guests and superb food. The mushroom starter was outstanding, how did you get such an amazing flavor from mushrooms. The Oven Baked Sea Bass was great, I always go for fish when I know the chef is first class, as good fish well cooked never disappoints.. Finally, as an apple grower how could I not have the Homemade Apple Crumble with Taywell Ice Cream, especially as Mr Taywell Ice Cream was a fellow guest.
